2. Albendazole

Albendazole worm medicine works by inhibiting the metabolism of worms, so that the worms cannot obtain energy. In order to be well absorbed by the body, albendazole is recommended to be consumed with foods that contain fat.

3. Pirantel pamoat

Pirantel pamoat worm medicine is used to treat roundworm and pinworm infections. This drug can be purchased over the counter without a doctor's prescription. When using it, make sure you read the instructions for use and the dosage for use as stated on the product packaging. Although this drug can be bought freely, pirantel is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women, children under 2 years old, or people who have impaired liver function, except as directed by a doctor.

4. Ivermectin

Ivermectin is a worm medicine for treating roundworm infections. This drug is available in tablet form and can only be obtained by prescription from a doctor. In order to work properly, you are advised to take ivermectin on an empty stomach or before eating.

5. Praziquantel

Praziquantel is used to treat worm infections that live in the bloodstream, digestive tract, or liver. Praziquantel is available in tablet form and should only be taken according to doctor's instructions and prescription. In general, worm medicine for adults can also be given to children. However, pay attention to the age limit of administration. Worm medicine for certain types of children should not be given if the child is less than 2 years old. In addition to taking worm medicine for adults, measures to prevent intestinal worms also need to be done by doing clean and healthy living habits, namely by:
